A picture of a Peryton, creatures that are half stag and half bird (and in my case a tad bit anthro as well). They are the souls of lost travellers that died far away from home, and they prey and humans.... they're also said to be responsable for the fall of Rome

I thought they were the hunters of the guilty, and only the innocent were safe from their shapeshifting hunts. Not that many people were ever innocent in the tales.

What a haunting piece, I wish I could see a larger version. I have heard of perytons but didn't know that bit of mythology.
